Friday 15th September
I woke up early again naturally and so went for a run along the beach while it was quiet and cooler. It’s so beautiful for runs compared to at home!

Once I got back I had a dip in the pool and then we went for some breakfast. After breakfast chilled out at our room for a bit.

We then went and played tennis for an hour… we played two games… Harry won both unfortunately!

We then went and had a late lunch at the restaurant on the beach.

After lunch we hired a kayak to go out on the sea. It was very pretty, the sea shimmering in the sun and the water was so clear we could look out for any wildlife down below us.

We then watched the sun go down on the beach loungers.

When we went back to our room, we found a funny surprise that had been left on our bed for us!

That evening we went for dinner at the buffet restaurant which was a BBQ theme.
Saturday 16th September
We decided to go for a morning run along the beach as we normally do park run on a Saturday but they don’t have that out in Mauritius.

We were very warm after so went straight from a dip in the sea in our running clothes… we were the only ones in the sea as far as we could see!

We then got ready for the morning, had some breakfast and packed our bags to leave the hotel as we were travelling to our final hotel of our honeymoon. We got on the road in our car and headed South, travelling along the west coast. We were heading for Chamarel viewpoint that we had researched before the drive (and was on our way to our hotel) but firstly, about an hour and a half into the drive, we came across a restaurant called Le Chamarel (that called itself a restaurant with a view). It really was! We just stopped and had a drink and took some photos.

We then continued the drive to Chamarel waterfall and seven coloured earth geopark, which we had also planned to stop at.

We then got back on the road and 30 minutes later arrived at our hotel – JW Marriott. They had left us a few lovely little treats.

We walked along the beach to explore a bit – it was even quieter than the previous one.

That evening we had a special dinner booked as Harry’s last 30th prezzie/2 months wedding anniversary celebration. Front row seats for a live teppanyanki dinner at one of the restaurants – it was brilliant!

I have never felt so full!
Sunday 17th September – our last full day!
Unfortunately the weather was a bit grey for our last day but we used it as a chance to relax before a long journey back home. We went for a long walk along the beach.

That evening we had a lovely last dinner at the Vietnamese restaurant at the hotel called The Floating Market.

What a special trip it has been – once in a lifetime that’s for sure! Now time to fly back to reality (if and when we manage to get on a flight home)… but looking forward to going home to our lovely house, family and friends and married life ๐ … Until next time, Mrs Towler ๐ x
